Expressing Life Differently

Hi, I'm Abigail Fidler, a single mum to five phenomenal children. Photography and storytelling have always been my way of making sense of the world, but it wasn’t until my eldest Autistic non verbal son Asaf found his voice through typing that I truly understood the power of seeing beyond the surface.

Finding Beauty in Small Moments
For years, I’ve been drawn to capturing the quiet, overlooked details of life—the way the early morning light dances on the valley, the stillness of a single moment frozen in time. Photography is more than a passion for me; it’s how I recharge, find strength, and connect with the world.
Asaf’s Breakthrough

For 24 years, I believed my son was locked in a world I could never reach. Then, one day, Asaf typed his first words. In that instant, everything I thought I knew shattered. I discovered that he understood everything all along—that he had thoughts, emotions, and a sharp sense of humor just waiting to be heard.
His journey changed me forever. It taught me to truly see—not just through my camera lens, but through a new perspective on life.
My Mission
Since that moment, I’ve dedicated myself to advocating for presuming competence—challenging perceptions about non-verbal individuals and sharing Asaf’s story with the world. Through my photography, blog, and lectures, I invite others to open their eyes to the unseen, to embrace the beauty of connection, and to recognize the voices that too often go unheard.
